CALEXIT and INDIVISIBLE joined forces for Voter Registration at San Diego Comic Con!
The creators of CALEXIT hosted grassroots political organizers INDIVISIBLE to run a Voter Registration Drive at San Diego Comic Con!
It was exciting to see volunteers registering voters right there on the showfloor and in the streets of Comic Con.
Pizzolo and Indivisible also organized a free off-site event at Comickaze for San Diego locals who couldn't get badges to the show. Pizzolo was joined by Indivisible leader Kathy Stadler, ACLU Advocacy Director David Trujillo, and Council on American-Islamic Relations community liaison Yusef Miller joined Pizzolo for a discussion of how dystopian art can prepare us for crises in real life.
You may recognize Calexit's intrepid pirate radio DJ Emmie-X as the face of Indivisible's "Voting Is My Superpower" materials. Illustrated here by Emily Pearson (artist of The Wilds, Snap Flash Hustle, Bonding).
Emmie-X went on to join Indivisible for voter outreach across California as things ramp up for the 2018 Midterm Elections! Listen to Emmie, get out and vote!
